A successful career in STEMM requires more than an advanced degree and lots of publications. The nonprofit Epistimi, Inc. was founded in 2021 to provide the LEAPS course, Leading Yourself and Others that Dr. Rigos teaches at MIT in the School of Science, to women in STEMM globally. In 2023, the LEAPS Program was awarded the Irwin Sizer Award for the “Most Significant Improvement to MIT Education” by the MIT Graduate Student Council.
Good leaders in AI are essential to align powerful technology with human-centric values. They ensure AI is deployed ethically to prevent bias, build trust, and drive strategic innovation. Furthermore, they manage the cultural shifts required to empower, educate, and support the workforce through disruption.
Epistimi has partnered with the American College of Greece (ACG) and together we are happy to offer our one-week Epistimi-ACG leadership workshop during September 14-18, 2026 at the ACG Alba Graduate Business School, in Athens, Greece. Women from all areas of STEMM working in AI are invited to apply.
The 5-day in-person workshop will be followed by six one hour Zoom meetings (every two weeks) in order to complete the personal work assignments. This program is for graduate students, postdocs, research scientists, assistant professors or any other early career professional woman in STEMM.
Applications are due Aug 1, 2026. Please apply here:
