WINChallenge - Culture and Practice
Epistimi did not make it through Phase 2, the peer review phase of the Culture and Practices pillar of Workplace Innovation Now (WIN) Challenge. It is a great disappointment but we know we had a solid proposal.
Our Executive Summary: Epistimi tackles both external and internal barriers facing women in STEM fields creating a network of leaders. Sexual harassment and unsupportive bosses contribute to the “leaking” pipeline and the gender pay gap in toxic STEM workplaces. Through a comprehensive certificate program and individual leadership projects, participants learn to lead themselves and others by building self-awareness, personal decision-making, and vision, and by learning to navigate team dynamics, resolve conflict, and successfully negotiate a better workplace culture.
